Andre was born in Hammond,
Indiana. After leaving Hammond, he deciding to reside in the Seattle, WA
area with his wife and two children. As a young boy, painting was just a hobby
for Andre. He soon began mastering his talent to become the self-taught artist
he is today. In his earlier stages, Andre's basic
interests were creating his own cartoon characters. As he grew artistically, his
vision began to change. He started to focus more on the anatomy, physiology, and
spirituality of the human body. Andre also realized that there was a
need to show the strength and beauty of his culture. Andre has participated in
several art shows and his work has been displayed and sold at the largest
African-American art gallery in the Seattle area. He has also donated paintings
to auctions for United Negro College Fund and other charities. Most of Andre's
work is with acrylics. His unique style with bright, bold colors is one of great
detailed expression and movement. As an artist, Andre strives to paint images
that are positive and full of life. Andre's company name is The Stroke of Andre.
He sells his artwork from his home office in Renton, WA. Originals
and giclee' prints are available and may be purchased through mail
order. If you are interested in purchasing any of his work or if you have any
